Message Although I did position myself for getting good footage, the extent of it was asking the guy releasing folks onto pitlane to send me out at or near the tail end of the groups, I also once on pit lane asked the guy to let the rest of the cars by me so I didnt get footage of the same car in two different runs. He had no problem and I pulled aside and let my group all by me when it was time to roll out. Never did footage wants/needs require me to slow down or speed up. As said before, footage with Z's a quarter mile down the track is useless to me, the goal was to get as many Zs as possible in the shot at once, to do this required me keeping up since I could not film out the rear of the car

I skipped a run to avoid filming a buick lesabre and a titan. And I missed a run because a car or two blew by the pitlane guy and in his frustration he forgot to wave me on at the end. I talked to at least three of the people working the event during the event and not once did any of them say "hey if they could keep everyone together" or "if these guys would stop doing that, the pace cars will get up to better speeds". Not once.

So people did what they did, with no info or guidance to do otherwise or what the supposed plan for the event was, 35mph is news to me, personally I think the trolls are exaggerating in troll fashion, but I dont know nor do I care. In my groups some cars were hanging back at about 60-65 for 20 secs or so and doing just as described, flooring it to catch up. The blue and burgundy 350's in front of me and the red Z32 in the film were the worst I saw all day. And they slowed to 60 and let the cars ahead of them get almost to the other end of the back straight before gassing it.

The only time I ran at or anywhere near the front was the first run of the day when I was simply following the SMZ in front of me and we ended up front. It was the fastest of the day for me and the SMZ guy stayed at 75-80 for just long enough to reach 95ish (which I am sure you know takes very little time at all) and my last run when I was getting footage of Dustin's car specifically and if there was enough time, he agreed to swap the camera into his car and he would tape me, unfortunately the batteries died immediately after I filmed him. A few of the straights behind dustin were unusable because in my boredom at 65-70 mph I was twiddling my thumbs on the wheel, and fidgeting around with the radio. So I couldnt even speed up the footage to give it a better effect of speed.

Other than that positioning within the lines prior to entering the track, the filming had no interference with my driving or the enjoyment of anyone else. My speed was dictated to me by the cars in front of me, no one said anything to almost any of the participants other than the three noted (who are all buddy buddy anyway and still didnt tell sactotodd).

What you have here is standard TTnet Trollism and hissy pissy internet grudges, the truth is laid out plain to see (as well as videotaped), and has been supported by others who were there. A couple people just dont like me for whatever reason and it probably burns them up that I am invading their little world with my insignificant video. It must have burned them right up to see Collegeboy take the trophies he took at the TTnet dinner and the car show. That kid, though goofily hairstyled, was a class act and friendly. He never stooped to the level that he could have after all the shit he has taken paid off.

So next time you watch the video, please notice my car never left 4th or 5th gear, kinda hard to keep up with Z33's and Z32's that are gunning it from supposed 35mph speeds or otherwise sub-freeway speeds in that high a gear, yes? For most of the video you can barely see my needle is between 70-80. It gets around 95 behind the SMZ and immediately starts tailing off.

These clowns have no leg to stand on, they just want to assign blame and be rude assholes to people they dont like or that aren't cool enough for them. Petty. Notice how Dustin was the only person to actually confront anyone at the track about it, and he wasnt even aware of the "plan", that says everything right there.

I am sorry that they are trying to give you (and anyone else not aware of their personal problems with people they dont even know) false accounts of what was going on, but like a wise TTnet'er once said... (i wish I could remember who posted this)
"There's more drama and favoritism on TTnet than in a middle school girls locker room"

lol, Seriously though nice meeting you down there and it is nice to be questioned in an adult fashion, rather than having to beat down hissy childish obscenity-laden groundless accusations.
